At Annie’s, it is our goal is to get dogs out of the shelter and into their "forever" home so that we can open our doors to more dogs in need.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Bringing home a new dog is a very exciting and important decision. Many of our dogs have come from very hard situations. Some have been neglected, abandoned or even abused. For that reason, we take our adoptions very seriously and want to make sure that, once an orphan finds a home, it's a life-long match.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
-
First, we ask you to fill out an adoption application to get started. We want to know more about you and your family and want to tell you more about us.
You can either bring a physical copy of the form to your meet & greet or send a digital version to our email.
-
Second, we invite you to come out to Annie’s and meet the dog that you would like to adopt. We have equipment for you to take them on walks and even oversized play yards for getting to know each other. We encourage you to bring any dogs that are already in your home to introduce them and make sure they will be a great fit for each other.
To schedule a visit, click here to email us and we will be happy to get you scheduled.
-
Making sure our dogs are placed in well fit, safe homes is one of our top priorities. To meet this goal, we ask potential adopters to participate in a home safety inspection or survey to ensure your home is an environment in which the dog can thrive.
-
Finally, spays and neuters are a critical aspect of our work here. All dogs have this procedure done before leaving Annie’s to prevent the growth of the homeless pet population. Caring for all of our dogs and their veterinary needs is expensive and we ask for a small adoption fee to help us cover those costs.
Our standard adoption fee is $250 and $80 for senior dogs. Adoption fees helps us guarantee every pet has the care that he/she needs and deserves. All fees go directly to the care and veterinary costs of the dogs, so not a penny is wasted.
We prefer checks but do accept cash as well.
You can view a breakdown of our expenses on our Donation page to know exactly what your money is being used for.
