Courtesy Posting - URGENT-Fiona
As a courtesy posting, Fiona is not at our shelter and is described according to information provided: Fiona is a good natured, fun loving dog. Until a few months ago, she spent most of her time alone in a kennel inside a garage, as her previous owners had discovered a family member had an allergy to her. This continued from about four months old to recently (she's now over 1 year old). She was overweight and extremely matted, and even though we weren't sure if we could keep her forever, we wanted to save her from that environment and try to find her a new, better home. She is good with our other dogs, but does play rough. She is good around kids, just jumpy and hyper. She does not seem to be catching on to house training well, and is currently most comfortable in her crate when indoors. Given her breed and the lack of freedom in her first year of life, it's understandable that she would require time for acclimating, running out the puppy-energy that was suppressed for so long and learning the ropes. She will need some patience around other puppy-habits, such as whining and chewing and is looking for the right someone who has the space, time and energy to help her experience the broad world before her. Fiona is microchipped and spayed. Contact: Julie 970.749.1781

Seager

Seager
Seager came to us as a stray from Towaoc. He has been a part of our sanctuary and is, now, considered adoptable. He is, however, a shy guy and panics easily, leading him to be a flight-risk in certain circumstances; therefore, he will need handling in keeping with that -- meaning, a secure yard and excursions only on harness/leash. Seager is around 7 years old.

Angela

Angela
Angela is a Heeler mix (probably, either Kelpie or Carolina Dog), approximately 3 years old, and came as a transfer from Tijuana. She is ginger colored, with a black saddle and muzzle. She is on the small side, and is fully vetted/negative on heart worm. Angela is great with dogs/kids/folks. She is easy on the leash, very responsive, and will make someone a fabulous companion.

ADOPT A SENIOR - Doogan

ADOPT A SENIOR - Doogan
Everyone always smiles when they see Doogan, because he carries his toys around in his mouth, just vibing out an invitation to play or visit. For all his winning charms, Doogan is another AO dog who has been here an inexplicably long time. Still, this is one dog who can capture hearts with his searching eyes and inviting expression! Doogan is a broad-headed, short-haired mix who came from a local reservation. He is approx. 45 lbs and 10 years old. Doogan has some facial scars from a rough past, but has left all that behind! He has a preference for a female owner, loves other dogs (No cats) and is attentive to direction. We believe he will make a loving and loyal addition to your family!

ADOPT A SENIOR - Odie

ADOPT A SENIOR - Odie
Odie is just the coolest boy -- mellow and affectionate. He is another one of our dogs who has been here far too long! In his young, rebellious years, he "ran with the gang," but that was then, this is now. He is an older guy -- 12 years old -- and weighs about 55 lbs. He must have a fenced yard and has to be kept on a leash when walked outside of his yard. As an older fellow, he now has arthritis, but it doesn't affect his sunny outlook. He enjoys people and would love a permanent placement for the remainder of his days.

ADOPT A SENIOR - Indy

ADOPT A SENIOR - Indy
Indy is an attractive Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. He is approx. 10 yrs old and around 55 lbs. He is the brother to Coby. Indy loves to play with other dogs, but seems to prefer the lady-dogs. He is shy and skittish and will need a home with consistency, love and plenty of one-on-one handling. Placed with a person who has dog-savvy, he will do well. He has been fostered and thrives in a home environment. Schedule to visit him and bring your dog for him to meet!

Toto

Toto
This senior Chiweenie will need a special home. He is overweight and needs gentle exercise on a regular basis. Toto is good with other dogs and loves lap-time. He would like a female caregiver, as he is not very good with men. A home without small children is also needed. He is between 10 and 11 years old.

ADOPT A SENIOR - Peanut

ADOPT A SENIOR - Peanut
The world is a bit insane, when a dog with this kind of beauty, sweetness and heart remains unadopted! Peanut is AWESOME -- muscularly built, friendly with people, gorgeous and loving. She weighs about 65 lbs and loves romping and cuddling. Peanut needs activity on leash and a secure yard. In the past, she has been known to escape her yard a time or two to go exploring. That was a long time ago, so who knows now, but she has not made such attempts to leave her yard while living at the shelter where she currently resides. She does fine with dogs during casual encounters, but will not share a home with them, so she needs to be a solo pet. She is about 9 years old, with too much of that time being without the companion she wants and deserves. Peanut would probably do well with older kids (Because of her energy level and size, she's likely not a good match for young children). Come check out this amazing dog and you'll find this description to be true -- SHE'S ALL THAT!

Tink

Tink
This little, red Dachshund likes people and enjoys attention and snuggle-time. She is also good with other dogs, with the exception being that she needs to be fed separately, as she has food-aggression. Tink is between 8 and 9 years old and will need a home with no small children.
