(Ahem)...We've got PUPPIES!
SIX NEW-BORNS: Our young Golden Retriever mix, who was brought in very, very pregnant, just gave birth to 6 babies on 6/9/17. There are 4 boys and 2 girls, and zero have taken after mom! We have 2 tri-coloreds (1 male/1 female); 2 primarily black-and-whites; and a couple that -- at least right now -- resemble Black Mouth Curs (1 male/1 female). Mom was a stray/abandoned at the Four Corners Monument; her babies are named after spectacular canyons in the region: Bryce, de Chelly (duh Shay), McElmo (McEl), Chaco, Echo and Buckskin (Buck). They promise to be equally exceptional! These babies won't be available for several weeks, but go ahead and call, in order to get first dibs: Two or three are already spoken for!

ADOPT A SENIOR - Indy

ADOPT A SENIOR - Indy
Indy is an attractive Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. He is approx. 10 yrs old and around 55 lbs. He is the brother to Coby. Indy loves to play with other dogs, but seems to prefer the lady-dogs. He is shy and skittish and will need a home with consistency, love and plenty of one-on-one handling. Placed with a person who has dog-savvy, he will do well. He has been fostered and thrives in a home environment. Schedule to visit him and bring your dog for him to meet!

Kuni

Kuni
This 5 year old, Rough Collie/Border Collie (OR Australian Shepherd) mix recently lost her home due to circumstances beyond her control. While not trained to leash, she is extremely skilled at "fetch" and other forms of play and is great with small kids -- just, overall, a friendly, active and smart girl. Kuni is looking forward to finding happy placement with an active individual or family.

Luke

Luke
Luke is 1 year old and is receiving socialization and training. He is dog- and kid-friendly, but has recently shown some fear with men. Applied behavioral training and gentle handling have proven to be very successful with him. While a bit on the submissive side, this, too, is responding well to training. We have recently discovered that Luke has a hip-socket issue, which will require medical intervention. We are looking into treatment options and funding, at present.

Ringo

Ringo
This is one great puppy! Ringo is 7 months old and really good with other dogs, including small breeds. He is a happy and intelligent kid, and it's likely that he is house trained. He came from Tijuana and has been in foster-care until recently. All vet-work has been done. Ringo is believed to be a Doberman/Shepherd or Border Collie cross.

Chase

Chase
This 8 month-old fellow is a wonderful guy -- extremely sweet and affectionate, leash trained, good with kids and other dogs. Add to all that the fact that he's cute and smart, and you can guess he won't be here for very long. Contact us soon, if interested!

Oliver/Odie

Oliver/Odie
One very appealing boy, Oliver is extremely social, excellent with people and good with most other dogs. He is about 1 1/2 years old and came from a Missouri high-kill shelter, having been found as a stray puppy trying to eke out a living for himself. While he is largely house-trained, he will still need supervision. Oliver also benefits from the presence of another well-trained dog within the household whose cues he can follow. One concern is that Oliver has developed a liking for cords/hoses, and training is in place to discourage this fetish. Site-specific training as well as supervision will need to occur after he has found his perfect home.
